Dropping in, Late at Night at the Met

January 17, 2012 MuseumChick

On a whim around 8:00 at night last Friday I went to the Metropolitan Museum. That’s what I love so much about living in NYC. So much culture and access to museums at any time. Dropping in on a museum at night last minute is something that keeps me inspired. This is what I saw…

I love the modern quality of these ancient pieces. Seeing them brought back great memories of discovering Cycladic Art at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens and being in the Greek Islands.

  1. Some states do not make it so easy to verify a CNA certification. The very first thing to look at is the school’s accreditation. Compare to other education programs, CNA training lasts quite shortly – from 6-12 weeks.

In conclusion, no person invented warm water and no 1 invented this diet I like to recommend. I can’t claim that I invented it, because other folks designed it well before me. A large number of my fellow workers use it successfully.

Is that a Brancusi sculpture in the top photo at the right? I know that’s not the sort of pairing you’ve expect to see at the Met, but darn it looks modern.

Isn’t it amazing to see all the ancient influences in modern art. This is all Cycladic art from approximately 2500 BC. and a few ancient Greek urns. I believe the Met does have some Brancusi sculptures but I haven’t seen them lately.
